ANDERSON & HUGHES, P.C. BECOMES INAUGURAL CORPORATE SPONSOR

OF INNOVATIVE GROUP DEDICATED TO DRONE SAFETY AND EDUCATION

Buena Vista, Colorado, February 1, 2018 — The Central Colorado UAS Club (CC UAS Club) is pleased to announce that Anderson & Hughes, P.C., has become the group’s first corporate sponsor. CC UAS Club is dedicated to promoting safety, education and innovation in the unmanned aerial systems (UAS) industry.

“We are honored to have this premier legal group as our sponsor for Club events and education campaigns,” said Club President Taylor Albrecht. “Anderson & Hughes shares our mission of promoting the legal, safe and fun use of drones and other unmanned aerial systems in our community.”

Anderson & Hughes is based in Chaffee County, which has emerged as a Colorado leader in drone-based operations and businesses. Patti Arthur, an aviation attorney and head of the firm’s Drone and UAS practice, emphasized the importance of the Club’s work. “Promoting the benefits of UAS is a vital aspect of gaining public acceptance of drones,” she said. “We believe the Club will a major force not only for the interests of industry leaders and consumers, but, more importantly, the interests of the community at large.”

Chaffee County has an advisory board charged with counseling the County on matters that foster the economic development of high-technology equipment, including drones. Wendell Pryor, director of the Chaffee County Economic Development Corporation, said, “We believe the CC UAS Club validates the importance of the emerging UAS industry in Chaffee County and beyond. I feel they will be a valuable partner in attracting key industry partners to the Rocky Mountain region.”

According to Albrecht, the Club’s membership has grown significantly since its inaugural meeting in October 2017, with guests visiting from across the state to learn more about the innovative group. Club activities include regular meetings on the first Saturday of each month, flying practice and community event participation.
